Odds & Ends from Coach Scott

A couple of links that will provide some information regarding District Cup on Nov. 18th & 19th:

The first link is the basic District Cup page with tournament info, etc. Check out the rules. They are interesting as there are bonus points for number of goals scored and shut-outs.

The second is our draw and schedule. We are in group A of the white division for class 3 and the times have been revised as of November 2. Regardless of outcome, it appears that we will play two games on Saturday and at least one on Sunday.

I'm taking a survey!

Who can make the following practices at the given times:

1) Thursday, 11/9 at 4:30 pm. (With the time change this is a better day than Wednesday, because Thursday is the pregame practice for football and they will end early freeing up the fields). Yes

2) Friday, 11/10/06 at 11:00-12:15/12:30. (Many players don't have school on Friday; Palma has day football games and I'm driving, so this would be our regular Friday practice scheduled during the JV football game before I drive the varsity.) - Yes

3) Wednesday, 11/15, 4:00-5:15. (JV & Fr football will be done, so fields are not an issue.) -Yes

***Friday, 11/17: I will know after this coming Sunday. CCS playoffs start for football and I don't know when or where varsity football will play their first game. Yes

Please respond to this email asap and let me know specifically about Practices 1, 2, & 3 above. Thanks.

Congratulations on a great game yesterday. I missed a great one, BUT I got a great feel for the game from the pictures. If you get a chance, check out Adela and Celeste's pictures at Snapfish.

It looks (barring the unknown!) that if this Saturday we tie or beat the PACHotshots (the team we tied in the last two minutes a couple of weeks ago), that we will wrap up 2nd place. We can't catch the Sparks this time, but I'm sure we'll have many chances during the coming years.
