Record:
Hurricanes: 1-1-0; next match Saturday, 10/7/06, & Sunday, 10/8/06.
Notes:
That was fun!
We had three interrelated goals for the week: 1) to make longer passes, 2) to pass "out" at a 45 degrees; and 3) to support the "out"
passes with overlapping runs on the wings. We accomplished the first two goals during the first half. We accomplished the third in the second half which led to the scoring; the runs got everybody moving forward and put players in position to finish the crosses.
Our halftime discussion focused on 1) making the overlapping runs, and
2) following up our shots.
Challenge this week: To play with greater intensity against a better team; to make the out passes quicker, and to start our runs sooner.
